  • One South Lakeland:

This One South Lakeland website will keep you up to date with partnership working in South Lakeland. It has a community focus with information on the key partnerships in which the Council is involved.

  • Upper Kent Local Area Partnership (LAP):

Our parish is an active member of The Upper Kent Local Area Partnership, which brings together parish representatives from around the eastern side of Kendal from Kentmere in the north to Stainton in the south. It enables issues of common interest to the parishes to be pursued, potentially enabling them to have greater influence on services and decisions. The LAP meets four times a year, usually at Skelsmergh Village Hall.

LAPs are made up of elected representatives from the three tiers of local government: (i) Local councils including town and parish councils and parish meetings, (ii) South Lakeland District Council, and (iii)Cumbria County Council. Details of activities and dates of meetings can be found at the above link.
